Tax filing for household businesses and small companies

We prepare and file the monthly or quarterly VAT and PIT returns for small companies and household businesses. VND 1,500,000 a month before VAT, with a Zalo reminder five days before every deadline.

1,500,000 VND

This package is for owners who want their returns filed correctly and on time without learning the eTax portal or the Vietnamese form numbers themselves. One named accountant looks after your business from the first month and is the person who answers when you message.

Who this is for

Small companies that already have someone keeping the books. Many foreign founders have a part-time bookkeeper, an office manager who records sales, or a company so new it has a handful of invoices a month. What is missing is someone who files the VAT return (form 01/GTGT) and the personal income tax withheld from salaries, every period, without fail. That is this package. If you also need full books and the annual financial statements, the right package is bookkeeping and financial statements.

Household businesses. These are registered to Vietnamese individuals, so if you are reading in English it may be your partner’s shop or a family business you help run. Since 1 January 2026 households no longer pay a negotiated lump sum; they declare their own revenue (Decree 68/2026/ND-CP). Decree 141/2026/ND-CP set the line at VND 1 billion of revenue a year:

  • Under VND 1 billion: no VAT or PIT, but a revenue book and a yearly revenue notice (form 01/TKN-CNKD) by 31 January. Most of these households do not need a monthly package. A free 30-minute call is usually enough.
  • VND 1 billion to under 50 billion: quarterly returns, due on the last day of the month after the quarter.
  • Over VND 50 billion: monthly returns, due on the 20th. We quote these separately.

What we do, month by month

Every month

  • Collect your sales invoices from the e-invoice system or cash register, and the purchase invoices you photograph and send on Zalo.
  • Record revenue and costs. For households, we use the ledgers set by Circular 152/2025/TT-BTC (the household bookkeeping rules in force since 1 January 2026).
  • Keep a running revenue total, so you know before the quarter ends if you will cross a threshold that changes what you owe.
  • For monthly filers: prepare and file the VAT return and the PIT withholding return before the 20th.

Every quarter

  • Prepare the quarterly return and send it to you to look at before we file.
  • File it through the e-tax account in your company’s name, then send you the filed copy and the portal receipt.
  • Tell you the exact tax to pay, the account to pay into, and the last day.

Every year

  • Check the year’s filings against the invoice records the tax authority holds, and correct differences before anyone asks about them.

What we need from you

  • Your tax ID and access to your e-tax account. If you do not have one, we help you open it in the company’s name.
  • Viewing access to your e-invoice software.
  • Purchase invoices by the 5th of each month. Sending them all at the end of the quarter works, but your books will lag.
  • A message when you hire, open a second location or start selling something new.

Not included

  • The tax itself. You pay the state directly. We never hold tax money for clients.
  • Full bookkeeping and annual financial statements (see the VND 3 million package).
  • Rebuilding books for past years that were skipped: from VND 4 million per fiscal year.
  • E-invoice or cash register software fees. We help you pick and register, but the software contract is yours.
  • Attending a tax inspection at your premises: quoted when an inspection decision arrives.

How reminders work

Five days before each deadline your accountant messages you on Zalo: which period, whether the return is already filed, the amount due and how to pay. If you have not confirmed payment two days before the deadline, we call. When a deadline lands on a weekend or public holiday it moves to the next working day, and the message gives both dates. The full list is on the 2026 tax calendar.

The mistake we see most: the return gets submitted, and the payment never does. So every reminder has two separate lines, one for the return and one for the money.

Common questions

Do we have to hand over our e-tax account? No. It stays in your company’s name. We are authorised users, and you can change the password whenever you like.

Who pays if a return is late because of you? We do. Penalties and late-payment interest caused by our mistake are paid by us, and the contract says so.

Can you explain each return in English? Yes. Every return comes with a short note in English: what was filed, what is owed, and anything unusual.

We are with another firm. Is switching painful? Send us your latest return and e-tax login. We check which periods were filed, tell you what is missing, and take over from the next period.

Legal basis: Decree 68/2026/ND-CP; Decree 141/2026/ND-CP; Circular 18/2026/TT-BTC; Circular 152/2025/TT-BTC. Updated 4 October 2026.

Phường Bàn Cờ

A bakery in Bàn Cờ ward moves off lump-sum tax. “On lump-sum tax I never needed to know what we sold in a month; now I know every evening without adding anything up myself.”

What happens to my records if I leave?

Within five working days we hand over every ledger, return, e-tax password and digital signature. There is no handover fee.

Who pays a late penalty caused by your office?

We do. It is in the contract: penalties and late-payment interest caused by our mistake are paid by us.

Household lump-sum tax ends in 2026. What changes?

Households move to self-declaring revenue, use e-invoices where required and keep a revenue book. Our Insights section walks through each step.
